I couldn't resist and ate the lobster tail and some of my plate b4 I remembered to take the pic. Mac and cheese tasted homemade. Fish, shrimp, and lobster tail were seasoned perfectly with just the right amount of spice. Their food is delicious. Staff is friendly. I've ordered here several times, and my order was right everytime. 10/10

Just driving back in town and decided I wanted some food to touch the soul. That and some French fries because me and potatoes have a love hate thing. Right then I was the ex-girlfriend trying to make things work out. I was thrilled when I went in and saw the huge menu. Not only could you get fries you could dress them up in a a lot of things! For me, bacon and cheese was the winner of course. There are so, so many combinations though. I am in awe at the fry creations. The main dish was catfish, Mac and cheese, and other fixings. It was exactly what I wanted. Full of flavor, tasty, and a generous amount for the price. The staff checked on us and asked how our meal was. They were on top of all the walk in orders too. Most people didn't even have to wait long. If they did staff would converse when they could. Just that extra mile to make you feel welcomed, felt really nice

I first heard of Cookie's when I was a student at K and decided to check it out. Food is super good! You get big portions for a small price, and really delicious. For K students, it's very close to campus (walking distance) and convenient, and the perfect comfort food to grab while stressing out about a test or paper due the next day. It's also super affordable for students on a tight budget. I keep my eyes on the facebook page for their specials, which are always worth a trip! The staff is really welcoming and the atmosphere is super charming. I appreciate the owner's goal of bringing locally owned, affordable, home style food to the Northside. I also noticed last time I was there that they were helping raise money for a neighbor whose home had burned down. I'm happy to support a locally owned business that cares about the surrounding community and is an active part of the neighborhood! I've also really appreciated their safety protocols during COVID-19. They have a window where you can walk up and place an order from 6 feet away, and then wait in your car for someone to bring your food out to you. Everyone is always wearing masks and they have clear signage outside to encourage social distancing. Definitely a clean, safe place to get food during the pandemic!

Holy crap! Facebook did me in as they had a special today that came across in the news feed for Cajun mac and cheese. If you are looking for comfort food, Cookie's is where you need to go. Luscious,creamy, spicy but not kill ya spicy(they unapologetically have that too)- this gut bomb has a generous helping mac and cheese smothered with catfish,shrimp, crab and lobster. Absolute heaven!
